Our Philosophy
At La Mision Palliative Care and Hospice, we recognize dying as a natural, inevitable process when curative therapy is no longer effective and seek neither to hasten nor prolong the dying process. We believe that palliative care and sensitivity to individual needs will allow dying patients to have full and rewarding lives until death. At La Mision Palliative Care and Hospice, we support family and friends during the patient’s illness and assist them after the patient’s death through the bereavement program.
Our Goals
In the patient’s last seven days, our visits increase, providing two-and-a-half times more care than the national average. In fact, when we recognize the symptoms that a patient’s death is drawing near, we activate our care program, which allows us to keep a member of the La Mision Palliative Care and Hospice team bedside to support the patient and their family through this final transition.
La Mision Palliative Care and Hospice are committed to being at the forefront of the hospice care industry to continually shape the way palliative and hospice care are viewed and administered… so that everyone can expect more.
